Ayahuasca Retreats

Preparation

Preparation

Preparing for your Ayahuasca retreat or Master Plant Dieta is a very important part of the process. There is an investment of time, your attention and intention—whether you’re new to this path or have been in the world of inner work for a while. We’ve designed a four-week preparation container and we strongly encourage you to be fully present for each call leading up to your retreat.

These 60 to 75-minute Zoom calls, held weekly, will lay the groundwork for your journey. Together, we’ll begin to regulate the nervous system and prepare the body, mind, and spirit. You’ll be introduced to breathwork, meditation, mindfulness practices, and the pre-retreat food diet.

This is your opportunity to step into the role of a student—not in the traditional sense, but in a way that fosters a direct, reciprocal relationship with plant medicine. It’s about shifting from I need, give me to I am honoring myself by giving to myself. A student doesn’t just attend class; they apply themselves fully. Preparation is a process of both giving and receiving, and this is designed to help you establish that balance.

Preparation is essential for personal growth, learning, and healing. Many people come to Ayahuasca or other master plants believing it will be the thing—the cure, the answer, or the revelation. Whatever has created the spark within you that led you to consider this work, know that all of it is welcome.

However, approaching this work with the expectation that Ayahuasca will give you something without you offering something in return misses a fundamental truth: reciprocity. What this looks like will be unique to each individual. The real question is—what are you willing to give yourself? How are you preparing for your first, or perhaps your tenth, ceremony? The effort you put into your preparation before the Ayahuasca retreat or Master plant dieta will directly influence what you gain from it afterward.

If we come to this work with a mindset of I need this, so it has to give me something but are unwilling to give to yourself, it creates friction, something is out of harmony. Yes, paying for the retreat is an investment in yourself, but are you also willing to invest your time? This work is not a quick fix—it requires devotion to yourself. When you pay for a retreat, it’s important to realize that you are not paying for Ayahuasca. There is no dollar amount equal to or greater than what Ayahuasca is worth. It would be like attempting to put a price tag on pure love—that price doesn’t exist. Ayahuasca is free, just like pure love is free. This work is priceless.

As your retreat approaches, you may feel pressure to be highly disciplined, thinking, I have to get this right to get the most out of it. But the truth is, you don’t need this, and you don’t have to be disciplined. Instead, you get to do this. This is a gift, an opportunity, and an investment in yourself. Shifting your mindset to I get to prepare as an act of devotion to myself transforms preparation into an empowering choice rather than an obligation.

The journey is long and deeply rewarding. Take your time. Lay a solid foundation. As you begin your journey with us, we encourage you to thoughtfully complete the registration and show up fully for yourself throughout the retreat preparation.
