Ayahuasca, a potent plant-based brew from the Amazon rainforest, has been used for centuries by indigenous cultures for spiritual and therapeutic purposes. In recent years, it has gained significant attention from Westerners seeking alternative healing modalities and personal growth. Ayahuasca ceremonies, led by skilled shamans or experienced facilitators, provide participants with a unique opportunity to explore the depths of their consciousness and access profound insights.
How many facilitators and space-holders are present at each ceremony?
There are always more than enough space holders and facilitators at each ceremony to ensure every participant receives the support, attention, and care they require.
How should I prepare for the ceremony?
Please make sure that you will be able to participate before you book your spot. There are certain medications, herbal supplements, and physical and mental health conditions that do not interact safely with ayahuasca. Please be honest during the medical screening process and contact us if you have any questions regarding potential contraindications. If you are a candidate for drinking ayahuasca, please follow the ayahuasca diet and reflect on your intentions for the ceremonies. Our facilitator interviews are a good resource for more information on the preparation process.
Will there be an opportunity to speak with the facilitators?
Yes, the facilitators will be available throughout the ceremony if you would like to speak with them privately.
Are meals provided during the ceremony?
Yes. All of the meals are vegan and plant medicine friendly, and drinks and snacks will be available after each ceremony. Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary concerns.
Is there wifi and cellular coverage at the ceremony?
Yes, but we encourage you to turn off your devices for the duration of the ceremony. Cell phones and other devices are not allowed in the ceremony space.
How should I dress?
Please wear comfortable clothes such as yoga pants, shorts, or sweatpants and a t-shirt that you can sleep in.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring your own pillow and a twin or throw size blanket for the ceremonies, a water bottle filled with spring water, a change of clothes, bathing suit (if you’d like to go swimming), toiletries, and a bath towel. You may also wish to bring a journal so you can write about your experience, and a pair of socks and a light sweater as the ceremony space is air-conditioned.
What if this is my first time drinking ayahuasca?
It is not necessary to have any experience with ayahuasca or other psychedelic medicines to attend one of our ceremonies.
